“A complex process.
A real solution.”
Real case
An international inheritance involving multiple jurisdictions
A British citizen in his forties died unexpectedly in London. He had not made a will in Spain or the United Kingdom. His wife was of another nationality and there were properties in Spain.
The case required British documentation to be coordinated with the succession procedure in Spain. Some of the documentation in the United Kingdom was complex and costly to obtain, and not all Spanish notaries are accustomed to this type of matter.
Our firm knew which documents were required, how to coordinate them between countries, which notary to approach and how to take the matter through to the public deed in Spain.
The inheritance was successfully formalised.
